It consists of a base housing, a rotating ring gear, a stationary annular gear, and a set of rollers that facilitate the rotation of the ring gear relative to the annular gear. The base housing of a Swing Drive is attached to a fixed support structure, while the rotating ring gear is connected to the load that needs to be rotated. The direction and speed of rotation can be controlled by an external power source.
