This cover acts as a barrier to prevent the ingress of moisture, dirt, and debris into the regulator housing for the engine. The cover which is made of aluminum casting is used to ensure that the regulator housing remains clean and free from any external elements which can potentially cause harm to different components leading to reduced performance or potential machine damage
