A Shock Absorber Retainer is a component in a Belt Tightener system that helps to secure the shock absorber or spring assembly in place. The retainer is typically a metal bracket that holds the shock absorber securely in its mounting position, preventing it from moving or becoming dislodged during normal operation. It is fixed with the shock absorber assembly with the help of a pin, nut jam, and a cotter pin to lock the Retainer in its position.
