A Fuel Pump Drive Gear is part of an Engine's Fuel components that is responsible for transferring power from the Engine's Crankshaft to the Fuel Pump. It is typically a toothed wheel that is mounted on the Crankshaft and meshes with a corresponding Gear on the Fuel Pump. It moves the fluid repeatedly enclosing a fixed volume using interlocking Gears, transferring it mechanically using a cyclic pumping action.
