A Seal Spring is a small but important part that is placed inside the Cylinder Shell, between the Piston and the Piston Seal. The Seal Spring is designed to provide a constant force against the piston seal, ensuring that it remains in contact with the piston at all times. This is important because the Piston Seal is responsible for preventing brake fluid from leaking out of the Braking Unit. When the brake pedal is depressed, hydraulic pressure is applied to the piston, causing it to move forward and apply pressure to the brake pads. As the piston moves forward, the seal spring compresses, allowing the piston seal to move with the piston.
