The Clutch Piston is once engaged, it applies pressure to the Clutch Plates, causing them to engage and transfer power to the wheels. When the clutch piston is disengaged, the pressure is released, allowing the clutch plates to disengage and the vehicle to shift gears. The Planetary Gear set is a component of an automatic transmission that is used to provide multiple gear ratios and transfer power from the engine to the wheels.
