A Lip-Type Seal used in a loader frame consists of a flexible, elastomeric lip that contacts the shaft of the bearing and forms a tight seal. It is designed to maintain a small amount of pressure against the shaft of the bearing. It also helps to maintain proper lubrication of the bearing.

A Lip-Type Seal prevents contaminants from entering the bearing, mostly used in Cat 320 and 320S Excavators, 902, 906, 908, 922A, 922B, 922B, 930, and 950 Wheel Loader.
