A Slip Joint Clamp is a form of clamp used to join pipes or tubes. It is intended to permit some movement or slip between the pipes while still keeping a tight seal. A band or strap that goes around the pipes and a bolt that tightens the band make up the slip joint clamp. The band usually has two or more notches or ridges along its length, allowing it to bend and adapt to small variations in pipe diameter.
