A Planetary Gear is typically toothed wheels that mesh with one another, allowing for the transfer of rotation and torque between the shafts. The planetary gear is a type of gear that rotates around a central sun gear. They are usually mounted on a carrier, which is itself mounted to a fixed ring gear, forming a three-element system. When the sun gear rotates, it causes the planetary gears to rotate around it, which in turn causes the carrier to rotate and drive the output shaft and provide power ultimately to the wheels.
