The Transmission Wave Spring is used as a part of the clutch system in planetary transmission. It is designed to operate in a limited space. It consists of a series of flat, wavy rings that are stacked together. When the spring is compressed, the waves flatten out and the spring takes up less space. it exerts pressure on the clutch plates, causing them to engage and transfer power from the engine to the wheels.
