A governor drive pump consists of a flyweight mechanism that is driven by the engine crankshaft. The flyweights are connected to a linkage that controls the fuel rack, which in turn controls the amount of fuel delivered to the engine. As the engine speed increases, the flyweights move outward, causing the linkage to move the fuel rack, increasing the fuel output of the pump. Conversely, as the engine speed decreases, the flyweights move inward, causing the linkage to reduce the fuel output of the pump.
Attributes:
? Ensures the engine receives the correct amount of fuel for its speed and load, improving performance and efficiency
? Manufactured to precise specifications and are built for durability, reliability, and productivity
Applications:
A governor drive pump is used in the engine unit to control the speed and output of the fuel pump which defines the amount of fuel delivered to the engine, mostly used in Cat 16G and 16H Motor Grader, 245, 245B, and 245D Excavators, 3304|3304B, 3306|3306B, 3406B|3406C, 3406C, 3408|3408B|3408C and 3412|3412C Generator Set, 3306B, 3406B, 3406B|3406C, 3406C and G3406|3406 Engine (Piston), 578 Pipelayer, 621B, 621E, 621F, 623B, 623E, 623F, 627E and 627F Wheel Tractor (For Scraper), 621E and 623E Scraper, 824C Wheel Type Tractor (For Dozer), 825C and 826C Compactor, 966D|966E, 980C and 980F Wheel Loader, C15 Engine-General Platform (C15), D35-HP, D350E, D400, D400D, D400E, and D40D Articulated Truck, D8N Track Type Tractor, RM-350, RR-250, SM-350 and SS-250 Paving Equipment, TH38, TR35, and TR43 Powertrain (Powermodules, Trans, Tc).
