A Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) Tank Level Sensor is an electronic device that measures the level of Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) in a tank. It consists of a float that is attached to a potentiometer or other type of variable resistor. As the level of Diesel Exhaust Fluid in the tank changes, the float moves up or down, causing the resistance of the potentiometer to change. This change in resistance is then converted into a voltage signal that is sent to the engine control module (ECM).
