The bar split spring lock washer is a component in the Roll Over Protection System (ROPS) that helps to fix the assembly of the bars with the fasteners. The lock washer prevents nuts and bolts from turning, slipping, and coming loose because of vibration and torque. A washer is a thin, flat, circular piece of metal or plastic with a hole in the center that is used to distribute the load of a fastener, such as a bolt or a screw. A washer can also be used as a spacer to adjust the distance between two objects or surfaces.
