A Conical Compression Spring is placed between the button and steering column of the Horn unit. As the button is pressed it contacts the horn and once it is released the spring helps to push the button to its initial position. Compression Springs are used as they allow for more efficient energy storage methods and provide a smooth change in resistance over time.
