A Compression Spring is used in control valves to provide the necessary force to close or open the valve. The compression spring is typically located inside the valve body and is compressed when the valve is in the closed position. As the spring compresses, it stores potential energy that is released when the valve is opened. This energy is then used to control the flow of fluid through the valve.
