A basic flexible pump coupling is a mechanical device that connects two rotating shafts to transmit torque and power between them. The coupling consists of two hubs, one attached to each shaft, and a flexible element that connects the two hubs. The flexible element is usually made of rubber, elastomers, or a combination of materials that can absorb shock and vibration, allowing the two shafts to rotate at different angles and speeds without causing damage to the machinery.
