The Final drive is a component of a drivetrain unit that helps to transfer power from the transmission to the wheels. It is located at the rear axle and is responsible for changing the direction of power flow by transmitting torque to the wheels while allowing them to rotate at different speeds. The Final Drive consists of several parts, including a ring gear, a pinion gear, a differential, and axle shafts. The ring gear is a large gear that is mounted to the differential case and is connected to the wheels via the axle shafts. The pinion gear is a smaller gear that is mounted to the driveshaft and meshes with the ring gear to transfer power to the differential.
