The After Cooler Core is a component commonly found in turbocharged and supercharged engines. It is a heat exchanger that helps reduce the temperature of the compressed air after it passes through the forced induction system. They consist of a core made of finned tubes and end tanks. Compressed air from the turbocharger or supercharger enters the aftercooler core, and as it flows through the finned tubes, heat is transferred to the surrounding air. This process, known as intercooler, cools down the compressed air, increasing its density and improving the engine's performance and efficiency. The aftercooler core is often Located between the forced induction system and the engine's intake manifold. It lowers the intake air temperature, reduces the risk of detonation, improves combustion, and enhances overall engine output.
