A governor throttle plate is to regulate and controls the flow of air or fuel-air mixture into the engine's combustion chamber, thereby controlling the engine speed. By adjusting the position of the throttle plate, the amount of air or mixture entering the engine can be increased or decreased, which directly affects the engine's power output and speed. The throttle plate acts as a barrier or valve that can restrict or allow the flow of air/fuel mixture depending on its position. When the plate is in a closed or partially closed position, it limits the airflow, reducing the amount of fuel-air mixture entering the engine. This decreases the engine's power output and lowers the engine speed. Conversely, when the throttle plate is fully open, it allows maximum airflow, leading to a higher volume of the fuel-air mixture entering the combustion chamber, increasing the engine's power output and raising the engine speed.
