A latch assembly is a device used to secure the radiator and cooler group to the chassis of a vehicle or equipment. The latch mechanism is designed to engage the striker plate and hold the radiator and after cooler assembly securely in place during operation. Without a properly functioning latch assembly, the radiator and after cooler group could become dislodged or damaged, which could result in engine failure or other serious mechanical issues. When the lever or handle is engaged or disengaged from the cabin, the mechanism releases the striker plate, allowing the radiator and after-cooler group to be removed or adjusted as needed.
