The Air Inlet Heater, also known as a starting aid, is a component located on the side of the cylinder head in an engine. It is designed to assist in starting the engine in cold weather conditions. Its function is to warm the incoming air before it enters the combustion chamber. By heating the air, it improves the atomization of fuel and aids in more efficient combustion during engine startup, especially in colder temperatures. It is positioned on the side of the cylinder head, near the air intake or intake manifold. This allows it to be near the incoming air, ensuring effective heating before it reaches the combustion chamber.
