An Alternator Adjusting Lever is designed to provide a means for adjusting the tension of the drive belt that connects the engine crankshaft to the alternator pulley. It is adjusted by loosening the pivot bolt and sliding the lever to the desired position. Once the lever is in the correct position, the pivot bolt is tightened to secure the lever in place.
