The Compression Spring comes in a variety of strengths and sizes to fit specific applications. Compression Springs are helical-designed springs for compression and tension whereby the Spring gets compressed (shorter) as more weight is applied. Compression Springs are used in mechanical systems because they allow for more efficient energy storage methods and provide a smooth change in resistance over time. Compression spring used in between the Clapper and Bushing in the Cartridge of Pilot Control Valve.
